Optivo Data Collection and Purposes

What data Optivo collects and how it is used

Data Collection Overview

The Optivo library collects limited, non-personal browsing data to identify returning visitors and enable targeted remarketing. This guide explains exactly what is collected and how it is processed.

What We Collect

  • A first-party cookie identifier (unique to each browser session)
  • Page URLs visited during the session
  • Referrer information (how the visitor arrived at your site)
  • Basic device metadata (browser type, screen size)
  • Conversion events (when triggered)

How Data Is Used

The collected data is matched against Optivo’s identity graph to resolve anonymous visitors into known contacts. When a match is found, the visitor’s browsing session is associated with their profile, enabling targeted email or direct mail campaigns.

Unmatched Data

When a visitor cannot be matched to a known identity, their browsing data is retained for up to 30 days in case a future match becomes possible. After 30 days, unmatched data is automatically purged from our systems.

Compliance

Optivo operates in compliance with GDPR and ePrivacy regulations. All data processing is covered under legitimate interest, and visitors can opt out at any time through your website’s cookie consent mechanism.
